Christmas Nails!

Hey guys, so as some of you are aware I am completely obsessed with painting my nails, for the past 6 months I have had shellac on my nails, which don't get my wrong I love, but because I do them myself it works out quite expensive what with constantly wanting new colours, top and base coat, uv lamp and removers and residue removers it's quite pricey! Over the Christmas season I like to change my nails quite a lot, so I soaked all the shellac off my nails, and bought some nail varnishes!

Firstly I started off by applying a thin coat of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base coat, I would highly recommend this as it drys super quick and prevents nail varnish from staining your nails, also helps your nail varnish last longer! Next I applied two coats of Rimmel Urban Purple, this is the perfect winter colour, it just looks so festive, you could probably get away with just one coat if this, but two coats definitely lasts longer! Once this had completely dried I applied one coat of Revlon Sequins in Gold, I must admit this isn't the easiest nail polish to apply as it's quite thick and doesn't spread across the nails very well, you kind of had to pat in on to actually get the gold flakes to stick to you nails. Then to finish of I applied a thin coat of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat, I absolutely love this, firstly it dries in just 45 seconds, so it advoids the annoying smudges and chips straight away, and it leaves your nails super shiney! I also find my nails last a lot long after using this!

Touche Èclat & MAC Red Lipstick!

Hey guys, so firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of blog posts recently, I have so many blog posts saved that I need to publish, but I have just been so busy recently I haven't had the time to do anything let alone blog!
Anyway onto the more fun part..

In November I was lucky enough to go go Rome, Italy for a weekend, it was my Dads 50th and my Mum and my sister and I decided to take him to Rome to celebrate!
On the way out we arrived at the airport ridiculously earlier, and I couldn't think of a better way to kill time than some Duty free shopping, I have been trying to find a true Red lipstick for absolutely ages, I have loads of drugstore lipsticks that I have picked up to try but they are never a true red! I visited the MAC store at the duty free and came across MAC Red which is a satin finish and it is perfect, I don't know how I have missed this lipstick in the past but it is honestly the best shade of Red I have found! I was a little worried that because I am quite pale I thought it would completely wash me out, but it actually compliments my skin tone quite well, it also has a blue undertone which makes you teeth appear whiter which is a bonus!

MAC Red, satin finish £15

Now onto my fabourtite purchase.. YSL Touche Èclat! I have wanted this for so long but I think what with it being a little pricey and always having more important things to buy I have always left it on my wish list! Again whilst I was in Rome I visited the duty free shop on the way home and came across the YSL stand. Apart from a few lipsticks I don't own anything from YSL and ever since I have heard about this I have wanted to try it! I bought this in the Shade 2 which is absolutely perfect, I have actually worn this item a few times on its own, and it even looks amazing then! I was really worried that I would use it up really quick, but one click of the pen is enough to highlight everywhere I need to! I would highly recommend this product!

YSL Touche Èclat, £29

Review | Maybelline Baby Lips

Hey guys, apologies for the lack of blogs recently, I have been so busy with work which has started getting a lot busier due to Christmas getting closer, and I just haven't had the time to do anything let alone blog!
Enough rambling and onto the review.
I actually work near enough next door to boots so I am always in there on my lunch breaks or before or after work looking for new products to try, I think it's fair to say that I am slightly addicted to shopping in boots!
I have seen hundreds of posts abouts the maybelline baby lips, and I have really wanted to get my hands onto them, but my local boots have been out of stock everytime I went in there! So I went on to boots website and I was able to order them into store ( I did order quite a few other bits and bobs not just these haha)!

So the first one I chose was the Blue baby lips which is the hydrate one, and the second one I chose was peach kiss just because I love orange lipsticks and they just seems to suit my skin tone better than pinks!
Firstly these are the cutest lip balms ever, however I do feel like they look slightly tacky, and the look like something you would get free in a magazine, but I guess as long as the product inside is good, the packaging isn't too important!
Onto the products themselves, I know a lot of people love these and can't get enough of them, but I was so disappointed with them, the blue one which is supposed to hydrate your lips, I found did completely the opposite, it really dried my lips out, and as much as I applied it never felt like I had much on my lips! The peach kiss one is slightly better it doesn't leave any colour of my lips however! I think the only good thing about this product it the price, the are £2.99 from boots and they are currently on a 3 for 2 offer!

Thanks for reading sorry about all the moaning ha!

Review | Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes

Hey guys! I feel like all this blogging jazz is starting to become more regular, and I seem to have a lot a products that I just want to share with you guys. This will be quite a short post so I will just get straight too it, and stop rambling!
I recently had my hair highlighted, I have had my hair highlighted many of times before but it has never really been the colour I had in my mind, and my hairdresser used to leave the bleach on for as long as she had time for, which usually left my hair slightly ginger! I finally decided I needed a something drastic doing, so I contacted one of my friends who I used to study hairdressing with and she actually managed to turn me into a blonde!
So for every one that has had their hair bleached will know that it really dries your hair out, and after a few weeks bleach blonde hair sometimes turns a little yellow!
After searching for a few weeks for a perfect Blonde shampoo I came across the Lee Stafford bleach blonde ranch, I only bought two of the products for now to give them ago, I bought the shampoo and conditioner!

Too start with I would also like to add that I actually really like the packaging of these, just because they are squeezey tubes which will allow you too get every last drop out! This is my biggest problem with the other products I use, the first half of the bottle is fine, and the second half you spend all of your time fighting with it!
Now onto the actual product, the shampoo is really odd just because it doesn't lather, but it still cleans and nourishes your hair, and the conditioner doesn't feel much different to any other conditioner! But after using this a few times I can really see a different all of my brassy yellow tones are disappearing and my hair looks refreshed like I've just had it highlighted! I would highly recommend this product to any one with bleached hair!

Ooh also, don't be put off by the colour of the shampoo! It's purple! And it goes onto your hair purple! But it washes off, I promise!

YSL Rouge Volupte | Peach Passion

Hey guys, so seeing as summer is nearly over and it will soon be time to turn out all the dark clothes and darker make up, I thought I should probably get this blog post in fairly quickly, although I will still probably wear this item through winter it is definitely more of a summer shade. With out further ado, it is of course the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in Peach Passion.

Even the packaging and presentation of this item just makes you want to buy it, anyway onto the actual lipstick, I will be completely honest alot of the make up that I buy is usually after reading someone's blog, or watching a haul or tutorial on YouTube!
I am actually became obsessed with this item after watching Zoella on YouTube, and if you also are addicted to watching her videos you will know she always talks about this item, and after seeing how great it looked on her I decided to splurge out.
The only thing that put me off buying this item was the price, it retails for around £24 which compared to a lot of other lipsticks on the market at the moment it is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I promise!
When you apply this lipstick it feels like you are applying a lip balm, but with a really intense pigment, I found this lipstick stays on a lot longer than others in the same price bracket, I also found when you apply this lipstick its quite silky and smooth when you apply it, and it almost dries onto your lips and you can't even feel that you have lipstick on, I honestly don't have one bad word to say about this product, it's so luxurious and worth every penny!
Sorry for rambling on a little there, I felt like I had so many good things to say that I couldn't fit them all in.

Thanks for reading.

Nails Inc | Fiji

Hey guys, so as some of you are aware I recently turned 21, and as part as part of my birthday celebrations my closest friends decided to take me to Bournemouth. I havent actually been on holiday this year, so I was using this weekend as my holiday break. Although most of the weekend was spent enjoying the nightlife we did manage to fit in some shopping. My friends are also quite into make up and beauty products like myself so the first shop on our list was of course Boots! The Boots where I live is tiny, I live in a small town in wiltshire and all of our shops are fairly small, so I decided to take advantage of the massive Boots we found in Bournemouth, I will admit I may have slightly overspent and bought a few items that I didnt need, and probably wont use, they were just easy on the eye. I will do a separate blog post on all the other bits and bobs I bought, but onto my favourite purchase...

Fiji by Essie nail polish, I was recently catching up on a few of Tanya Burrs YouTube videos, and she often wears this gorgeous pale pink almost white nail polish, which is fiji by Essie. The boots in my town doesnt actually have Essie stand which is rather annoying considering its my go to brand for nail polish, but everytime I have had a day out shopping I have kept my eyes open for it, but its always out of stock, obviously everyone else must agree that the colour is too die for. Anyway whilst I was in Boots in Bournemouth I managed to find my self one, the last one on the shelf, it was like it knew I was  coming!
I painted my nails as soon as I got back to the hotel room ready for the night ahead. I was a little worried that because my skin is quite pale, as so is the nail varnish that would be pretty much the same colour as my skin and it would all blend into one, but thankfully it was okay and actually made me look more tanned.
I did find with this nail polish that two coats was definitely needed, unlike some of Essie polishes, but I guess this was expected with a light shade. I also love the shape of the brush with Essie polish, it fits perfectly onto my nails. I painted my nails 3 days ago and I still dont have any chips, and it still looks nice and bright.
I think although this is a light shade I would probably still wear this through the winter its such a pretty shade and goes with almost everything. You do pay a little bit extra for Essie nail polish but it is definitely worth the extra couple of pound.

Thanks for reading I hope this review helped!

YouTube!

Hey guys so if you have read my previous post you will know that I recently was lucky enough to be bought a DSLR camera for my birthday, and have decided that I am going to put more effort into my Blog, and I was debating starting a YouTube account, well I have actually decided to just go for it, the video I have uploaded isn't the best and I still haven't got my head around editing my videos after! But atleast it's a start, and hopefully they will get easier and more enjoyable to make, and I will feel more comfortable in front of a camera!
Anyway the link for my YouTube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DikQMpBt0lQ&feature=youtu.be

Hopefully I can start posting a few more videos the more comfortable I get!

YouTube

Before today my last post was over one month ago, and this is my second post of today! Being 21 is a fresh start for me, I am going to start doing what I love doing and what I want to do, which is blogging and I am thinking about starting a YouTube channel!

I have always loved watching YouTube videos, wether it's a tutorial or a blog I just can't get enough! So I figured if I enjoy watching everyone else's videos then why not make my own!
I haven't ever thought about actually making videos until I received my DSLR camera for my birthday, and now I have all the equipment I need and there is nothing holding me back!

One of the reasons I haven't made videos before is basically the fact that I have been too scared to post videos of myself on the Internet and worried what other people will say. I have recently subscribed to a lot of new YouTubers, who started off really nervous and unsure and they now have a couple of thousand subscribers.

So yeah, I will keep you all informed when I actually make my first video :)

21!

Hey guys, so I just want to start by apologizing for not blogging in a while, what with my Birthday and just how busy I have been with work and getting organised for this weekend coming.

Anyway lets gets started, so you may have guessed by the title of this blog, and for those of you that follow me on twitter that it was recently my 21st Birthday, yesterday in fact, so I am going to share with you what presents I got for my birthday, and how I spent my day!

For the past couple of years I have really struggled writing a birthday list, I think this because I'm working and earn my own money, if I want or need something I usually just buy it, so when it comes to my birthday and I have all my family phoning up asking what I want I haven't got a clue, another problem being where I live, for those of you that don't know i live in a little town in the Cotswolds, Wiltshire. Don't get me wrong I love where I live, but there really isn't anything around, and going back a few years I always used to ask for drugstore makeup for my birthday (which I still love), but now that I'm working, I do like to splurge out on higher end makeup, but the nearest MAC or department store is 45 mins away, and I don't feel like I can really ask my family to travel that far just for a birthday present.

Lets start with how I spent my day. In my family we have a tradition that all my family (mum, dad, me & my sister) get up really early before my Dad heads off to work, and we go into my Mum & Dads room and open our presents and cards, so after that I was much too excited to go back to bed, so I stayed up and just lounged around, for the rest of that day I stayed in and all my family visited at different times. Later on that evening my family and I went out for a meal to a place called The Plough, the food was lovely. Your probably thinking that I have just turned 21 and I not drinking champagne all day, getting drunk and celebrating, for those of you that know me will know that I am actually going to Bournemouth this weekend for 3 days with my close friends to celebrate, so I am saving myself until then, as I have a feeling it could be a slightly hectic and drunken weekend!

Anyway onto the presents that I received, these are also in the order that I received them!

My Sister bought me this purse, its the Ted Baker Rika Purse in Bright Pink, I have always wanted a Ted Baker purse but I was always put off by the price, so when my sister bought it for me I was so happy!

As you can see I received quite a few Pandora charms, and my parents bought me a new bracelet so I could start again, as my other one was full up, I particularly like the Koala, its so cute, and the Camera which I received because of what my parents bought me! See below!

Okay so last but by no means least, by far my favourite present which my Mum & Dad bought me...

A Canon 600D DSLR :) :) :) I was so excited when I got this, I am not going to go into it too much as I will do another post just purely about the Camera, all the pictures in this post (apart from the picture of the camera) were taken on the Canon 600D, such a big difference compared to the iPhone Camera which I normally use!

The items which are included in this post are the main presents I received, and the most interesting to blog about, I didn't think you would want to see a picture of every card I received or every bottle of Champagne!

Thanks for reading this, and I hoped you enjoyed it, hopefully now I have a new camera I will actually start posting more :)

Review | John Frieda Go Blonder.

Hey guys, so if any of you know me personally you will know that I just keep going on and on about this product, I absolutely love it!

About 6 months ago, I had dark red hair, and I have had my hair dark for as long as I can remember, this summer however it was time for a change, I was fed up always looking pale and washed out, so I decided the best way to look healthier was to go light for summer.

My hair is naturally a darkish blonde, but I honestly cant remember the last time it was ever visible, what with being a hairdresser and just totally obsessed with doing my hair as soon as I saw my roots appear, I coloured my hair instantly!

About five years ago when I was studying Hairdressing, one of my friends from my class asked me if I would be her model for a hairdressing competition, which of course I agreed too. At this point my hair was nearly down to my waist and if perfect condition, and she asked me if she could cut it short, and shave one side! Rihanna Style! I was abit hesitant at first, but decided to go for it. Why not.. It would grow back right?! I kept my hair short for about 4 years, and recently decided to grow it again, so I have refused to have it cut.
I have had my hair highlighted now about 4 times, and it just wont lighten up enough to the colour I am after, and the more I am highlighting the more damaged my hair is getting :( The colour on the ends of my hair still have quite a strong red undertone, and as soon as I go into the sun it is really visible!

So I started thinking about going back dark, just because it was easier and less damaging for my hair, and II was getting pretty fed up with it if i'm honest. Until I found this....

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Spray

Usually products like this never work, they get really hyped up, and then do nothing. When I bought this I really didn't hold out much hope, but it has proven me wrong! I only spray the ends of my hair with this, and then comb it through just to make sure it doesn't go patchy, I have used this 7 out of the 10 times it recommends and my hair is noticeably lighter, and it doesn't look so red!

If you have highlighted hair and just want to lighten it up slightly for summer, then go out a grab this, such a reasonable price for such a great product!

Hope this helps anyone with similar hair problems!

40 Beauty Questions | Tag

Hey guys, I know its been a while and I can only apologise about that, everything at the moment is very hectic, but I should be able to start concentrating on my Blog alot more now, I am hoping that I will be able to start posting on here a couple of times a week now. I hope you enjoy reading this, and feel free to leave me a comment below or on twitter @BloggCourtney. I also tag everyone who reads this to give it ago :).

How many times a day do you wash your face?
At least two times, morning and night. If i am going out in the evening and I redo my make up then I will wash my face before re applying my make up.

What skin type do you have?
I would probably say Combination, I always used to be convinced my skin was really dry (which in places it is) but a few hours after applying my make up if I haven't primed my face my forehead is really oily and shiney.

Whats you current facial wash?
The current facial wash that I have been loving has to be the No7 Beautiful skin cleansing balm, I am currently using the one for Dry/Very dry skin, but I think I might change it for a different one when it runs out.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes, I usually tend to exfoliate once a week sometimes twice if I have worn heavier makeup, or just feel like I need too.

What brand do you use?
I am still looking for a really good Exfoliator, I am using the St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub at the moment, its not the best but its does the job until I can find a good one.

What Moisturiser do you use?
I am really enjoying the No7 skin care at the moment, I have purchased the day and night cream both for dry skin, and I am really enjoying using them, I can definitely feel the difference in the morning if I forget to use it.

Do you have freckles?
Yes, I have a love/hate relationship with them, in the winter they are fine, and my foundation covers quite alot of them up, so they really aren't a problem. In the summer however, all I have to do is look at the sun and my face is covered in them, as this is one of the main reasons I still wear quite a full face of makeup in the summer.

Do you use Eye cream?
Of course, and I bet you can guess what the brand of it is as well. No7! I have only just bought this so i haven't really used it long enough to rate it, first impressions however are very good!

Do you have acne prone skin?
I have always been extremely lucky with acne even when growing up, I occasionally get the odd spot, but hardly ever.

What foundation do you use?
I am currently using the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and my shade is Ceylan. I can honestly not rate this product enough, I originally only bought this for special occasions, but I am now using it every day and I love it. It lasts all day, isn't cakey and build able coverage.

Do you know your undertone colour?
My undertone colour is Neutral.

What do you think of false lashes?
I don't dislike them, and I will occasionally wear them on a night out, but I much prefer natural eyelashes.

Did you know that you are supposed to change a mascara every 3 months?
Yeah, but to be honest I usually end up using up a mascara before 3 months anyway.

What brand of mascara do you use?
I usually always use Lancome Hypnose Star, but have recently discovered Maybellines The Falsies, and I absolutely love it, it does tend to smudge but apart from that its such a good product and it only costs around £7.

Sephora or Mac?
Easy Mac, we don't actually have a Sephora store in the UK, so it could be alot better I wouldn't know.

Do you have a Mac Pro Card?
Sadly no :(!

What make up tools do you use on a daily basis?
Apart from the usual brushes I use eyelashes curlers and Cotton wool buds.

Do you use a makeup base/primer?
I do most days, but only on my T zone, as my skin gets quite oily there and tends to move!

Do you use a eye shadow base?
No I very rarely wear eye shadow as I have quite hooded eyes.

Whats your favourite eye shadow?
Umm now that's tough, I honestly don't know, as I said before I hardly ever wear eye shadow, so I haven't used my eye shadows enough to be able to answer that.

Do you prefer pencil or liquid liner?
Between them I would say pencil, but I usually use Gel liner.

How often do you poke your eye with eyeliner?
Quite often actually I am very clumsy, and easily distracted.

What do you think of pigment eye shadow?
They are okay, really messy though.

Do you use mineral makeup?
No, I find them too look quite cakey by the end of the day, and the coverage wasn't that good.

Whats your favourite lipstick?
My all time favourite lipstick has to be Love Forever! Pro longwear lipcreme by Mac.

How about lipgloss?
I am really not a fan of lipgloss, I like my lips to look matte so I never really wear it!

What is your favourite blush?
Another one from Mac I'm afraid, its a Pro Long wear Blush called Rosy Outlook, such a summery colour!

Do you ever buy makeup on Ebay?
Nope, never have done and never will, firstly I wouldn't trust that the makeup is a genuine brand and also anything could be in the makeup. Too risky!

Do you like drugstore makeup?
There are alot of drugstore makeup products that I use, I just feel you pay for what you get, and I would much rather save up some more to get a higher end brand!

Do you go to CCO's (Cosmetic Company Outlets)?
I actually have a CCO right near to wear I live, I do struggle to find products I genuinely like in there, I usually end up buying something just because of the price.

Do you ever consider taking Make up classes?
I would love to do a MAC pro course, I just never seem to get around to doing these things.

Are you clumsy at putting makeup on?
When I first started wearing makeup I was hopeless, but luckily I am not so bad now.

Name a makeup crime you hate?
Over plucked eyebrows, foundation lines on the neck and orange foundation!

Do you prefer colourful or neutral makeup?
Definitely neutral, apart from lipstick I hardly ever wear colourful makeup.

Which celebrity has great makeup?
Firstly with the slightly obvious answer, Kim Kardashian and I would also say Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

If you can only leave the house wearing one item what would it be?
It would have to be mascara, I will not leave the house without it!

Could you ever wear no makeup?
Umm... I'm going to say yes, but if it come to it probably not!

Do you think you look good without makeup on?
No, I really dislike my freckles, which is the main reason for me wearing makeup.

Best make up line?
Probably Mac followed by Nars and then a few high street brands such as Maybelline and L'Oreal.

Describe makeup in three words or less?
Confidence Booster!

Review | Black and White nails.

Okay so I first off want to apologise that there has been no new posts over the last couple of days, I have been very busy with work and just haven't been able to find the time!
So after doing a few beauty tag posts I feel it's time for another review! This review is all about nail varnishes!

I shall start off with a picture of the finished look and then go into detail about the steps I took to achieve this look and then I will go more into detail about the products I used!

As you can see above this is the finished look, I am actually really happy how they turned out, considering painting nails with dark colours usually turns out quite messy!

Now for a step to step review.

The first product I used was the Nails inc Kensington caviar base coat (picture on the left), as you can see the nail varnish looks red, that was my first thought when I received them! But I can assure you it drys near enough clear! This base coat is by far the best I have used, my nails are slightly damaged and have ridges in them, and this completely smoothes them out, and it also prevents colours such as red from staining my nails! And it drys really quick so you aren't waiting around!

The second nail varnish in this picture which is the one on the right is the Kensington caviar 45 second top coat! The reason I purchased this was because of the '45 second top coat' part of the title! I hate with a passion waiting for nail varnish to dry and I always end up smudging them and having to restart! But this really does dry in 45 seconds, and it leaves the nails looking super shiney, and really helps my nails stay looking neat and non chipped! This step is applied last, but I only took one picture!

Next step was using a plain black nail varnish, I chose to use Barry M just because I was in a rush and it drys the fastest! I need to apply two coats of this as one coat was really patchy! The colour is 47 Black! After applying two coats of the black my nails were really glossy and I could have got away with not wearing a top coat if I was in a rush!

Last but no least I used the L'oreal Top Coat Confettis, which I purchased this I though that I could use this By itself but you really do need to apply a darker colour underneath! This nail varnish was actually quite hard to apply, I felt I had to pat it on rather than brush it on as it was really thick and the white specs in the nail varnish wasn't covering the nail evenly! After doing a few nails I got the hang of it, and I am actually really happy with the way it turned out! I also applied a top coat on to seal it and prevent chipping (see first picture)

Thanks for reading my blog, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to leave a comment, and also any feedback :)

Beauty Blogger Tag

Okay so if you read my last post you would have seen that I done my first Tag post, and I really enjoyed doing it, so I decided to do another one! This one is more about me rather than my favourite products, so I hope you enjoy this post!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair always used to be pretty straight, and then whilst studying hairdressing, I had my hair cut super short and shaved on one side! For the past year of so I have been growing it out and it has grown back really wavy, and takes me ages to do anything with it!

2. What is your natural hair colour?
My natural hair colour is dark blonde, but for the last 6 years I have always had my hair dyed from dark brown to red and I now have blonde highlights for the summer!

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Well being a hairdresser I tend to dye my hair myself, and I now have highlights which are pretty much impossible to do on your own hair, luckily most of my friends are hairdressers so they are always there to help out!

4. Do you wear the same hair style every day or do you change it?
Umm I usually wear my hair slightly wavy, but recently have been loving wear my hair up now that is have finally grown!

5. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I think I have only ever had my nails done once or twice at a salon, I actually do shellac manicures so I usually just do that!

6. How often do you change you nail polish?
I usually have a shellac manicure so I change the colour every 2/3 weeks! But I always change the colour on toes!

7. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
I have nail varnish on my toes all year round, I don't really like feet at the best of times, and nail varnish just improves them!

8. How long does it take you to put your makeup on?
Umm I would say between 20 and 30 mins depending on what I doing!

9. What do you do first, face or eyes?
I always do my face first as I very rarely use eyeshadow, and my eyelids are quite dark so I like to put my foundation over my eyes which is easier when I don't have mascara on!

10. Do you 'collect' makeup or just but what you need when you need it?
I have a little bit of a obsession with buying makeup, I work right by a boots and I am always in there buying different products to try!

11. How often do you wear fake eyelashes?
I very rarely use fake eyelashes, I am quite lucky with that fact my natural eyelashes are quite long so I don't really feel the need for them!

12. Do you wear a full face of makeup everyday?
Yeah most days, but only because I enjoy putting my make up on!

13. Do you wear makeup when your home alone or with family?
No if I am not doing anything and have no need to put makeup on then I won't bother!

14. Will you leave the house without makeup?
If I had to then yes, but I prefer to go out with my make up on!

15. How many high end products do you have?
I honestly do not have a clue, don't get my wrong I love drugstore products but I usually prefer to wait and get a high end product instead!

16. Do you plan your OOTD the night before or decide when your getting dressed?
I always decide when I am getting dressed unless I have a special event or something to go to!

20 Questions | Tag

Okay so I thought I would try something a little different so you can all get to know me a little better! I have read a lot of similar tag blogs, so I thought it was time to give one ago, I actually read this one on shonaelizabeths blog earlier, which is where I got the idea from, so thanks :)

The 20 question tag!

1. Things you cannot leave the house without?
Well the first thing that came to my mind was my phone, I will admit I have quite an unhealthy relationship with my phone haha! I would also say my lipstick, I tend to wear bright lipstick nearly every day and I am always topping it up!

2. Favourite brand of makeup?
I would say my favourite brand would probably be MAC, but recently I have started really liking Nars, I don't really own that many Nars products at the moment but I am sure that will change :)

3. Favourite flower?
Umm this is quite a tough question as I'm not really sure but I would probably say lilies!

4. Favourite clothing store?
River Island or Primark

5. Favourite perfume?
I am currently using a perfume by Dolce & Gabbana, it doesn't actually have a name which is kinda strange, it comes in a red velvety box with Gold writing, it smells so fresh, and actually lasts all day!

6. Heels or flats?
Definitely flats, I am living and dying in my Converse at the moment they are so comfy and go with absolutely everything! Saying that I do love wearing heels for a night out!

7. Do you make good grades?
Well I actually left school about 5 years ago now, but yeah I left with good grades, and passed all my college courses!

8. Favourite colour?
Everything I seem to buy recently from nail varnishes to clothes is a mint colour! Really liking pastel colours for the summer!

9. Do you drink energy drinks?
Nope, I never even think about buying one and I'm not really a fan of the taste if in honest!

10. Do you drink juice?
I love orange juice, I drink so much of it aswell!

11. Do you like swimming?
I really like swimming, but I never think of going, I usually only swim if I'm on holiday!

12. Do you eat fries with a fork?
I cant remember the last time I ate fries/chips, but I would probably said yeah I would use a fork, unless it's fish and chips by the sea (minus the fish, yuk)

13. Favourite moisturiser?
It has taken me about 3 years to find the perfect moisturiser as I have quite dry skin, but my favourite moisturiser is the day and night cream by No7

14. Do you want to get married later on in life?
Yeah of course, every girl wants the perfect fairy tale ending right?

15. Do you get mad easily?
I am quite a laid back person, the only time I get angry is when I'm driving, and it usually takes me a while to calm down!

16. Are you into ghost hunting?
Nooo, I would much rather not know if there are ghosts around!

17. Any phobias?
I have a massive phobia of people being sick, if someone is sick, I will be sick too! I think that's the only phobia, there are quite a few things I don't like but wouldn't go as far to say they are phobias!

18. Do you bite your nails?
I used to bite my nails at school, but when I was doing my hairdressing course it wasn't very professional to have bitten nails, so I had to stop! And I even do my own shellac nails now!

19. Have you ever had a near death experience?
Luckily no, and fingers crossed I never will have!

20. Do you drink coffee?
If I go to say Starbucks or Costa, then I will have a latte, caramel mac or something similar, but I don't like anything that has a strong coffee taste and I don't like instant coffee!

Thanks for reading this blog, I have really enjoyed doing my first Tag blog, and I'm sure this won't be the last one I do :)

I tag everyone who reads this to also answer these 20 questions :)

Review | Blusher

Okay the products in this review were bought quite a while ago, and I just completely forgot about reviewing them! Whoops!

Starting with the product on the left, this is the MAC Pro Longwear blush in Rosy outlook! This is my all time favourite blusher, I have been wearing it everyday recently and just can't get enough of it, it's easy to apply, and you don't need so much of a light hand as you do with some other MAC products! Usually when I buy new makeup it takes me a while to get used to it and I usually end up putting it aside and coming back to it in a couple of months, this product I have loved from the start. This blusher was actually bought in the MAC store in Prague, and I have look for a replacement in a store near where I live and it has been out of stock, so fingers crossed it comes back! The colour of this product is a perfect colour for everyday, I have quite pale skin so it's perfect for me, however when I am slightly more tanned it doesn't show up that well!

The product on the right is the MAC Powder Matte Blush in Melba, I actually got this for Christmas, and still haven't really used it that much! A little bit really goes a long way! I usually tend to use this if I am going out for the evening as you can get away with heavier makeup, I wouldn't use this a daily basis as I feel it is slightly too dark for my skin! I really like the fact that this blusher is matte as I really don't like anything that shimmers, also once you put this on, you will not have to touch it up at all, it lasts all day and doesn't even fade! This is the perfect blusher for someone who is on the go, or someone like myself who doesn't really like having to reapply makeup throughout the day!

Hope this review helps

Review | Foundations

I have chosen three foundations to review, all different brands and prices!

The first product is the Nars Sheer Glow foundation, this is my favourite foundation ever! I have so many foundations that are either the wrong colour or too cakey, but this one is just right, it's perfect to wear everyday but can be layered for a night out. I apply this in the morning and it still looks the same by the time I'm taking it off to go to bed! The only downside of this product is the price, it is the most expensive foundation in this review it costs £30.50, also it doesn't come with a pump which isn't a huge problem and it stops you wasting the foundation, but I just prefer a pump, you can purchase them separately if required! The colour I am currently using is Ceylan which is perfect for my skin without a tan! It has taken me a good three years to finally find a foundation that I like and looks good on my skin! I wasn't sure when I bought it as it's the sheer glow foundation, and I like quite full coverage, but I hardly use any of it and it gives flawless coverage!

Before I discovered the Nars foundation I used to use the Bourjois 123 perfect every single day and absolutely loved it! It's such a good price I think it was around the £10 mark but I really can't remember! It is quite a thick foundation and full coverage! My skin is quite dry and usually foundation ends up being quite cakey and doesn't really last all day, but this is the only high street foundation I can get on with! The colour I use in this number 51 light vanilla, it is a little too pale but the shade lighter was to dark, I can never seem to find the right colour with Bourjois foundations, but together with a slightly darker powder it was a perfect match!

The last foundation in my review is the MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation. This was the first MAC foundation I ever bought, I visited the store in Bath, UK. Firstly the girl who served me wasn't much help and was very obnoxious, I have quite pale skin, and she matched me with n18 which is too dark and has a strong yellow tone! So I wasn't overly happy with this product! I usually use this for night out as you can get away with being slightly more tanned! When I bought this first of all I hated it and never used it, after coming back to I started to really enjoy it, and it now makes my top 3! I would definitely recommend trying a sample of this before purchasing it, I didn't know they were available when I bought this! I found this foundation quite thick and full coverage, I found I had to blend it in fairly quickly when applying it! Over all a great foundation and truly is Longwear!

I would just like to say I am not a make up artist and haven't had any training these are just my views!

Holiday Time | Jamaica

June of 2012 I was lucky enough to go on holiday to the Caribbean Island Jamaica. We stayed in the North of the island in Runaway Bay which is in the town of Saint Ann. We stayed in the Grand Bahia Principe, a all inclusive resort. I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in abroad, and would recommend it to anyone. Everything about this holiday was perfect, what with the idyllic white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and perfect weather every day, I would happily return.

This is the view from the far end of the pool, everything about this hotel was utterly breath taking. Every restaurant within the hotel was super clean, such a good variety of food, and extremely friendly and helpful staff.

This was the view from the balcony opposite our hotel room. I think this picture speaks for itself.

This was taken from the more public beach still within the resort, looking back on the hotel. I don't usually like sunbathing on the beach, but with views like this and warm shallow water I couldn't resist.

This is the view I had from my hotel room balcony, even at night this resort is very picturesque.

Thanks for reading

Review | Nails Inc lucky dip.

Ever since I can remember I have always been slightly obsessed with painting my nails, to the point where I would paint them with top coat, base coats the lot and then take it straight off just to see what another colour would look like! I have had a massive clear out of all my nails varnishes and chucked out all the old dried up ones and the cheap nasty ones that you always get for Christmas because no one really knows what to get you! If you were to ask me a year ago what brand would be my go to for nail varnishes I wouldn't even hesitate and answer Barry M! Until recently every single product I buy from them seems to go downhill, the nail varnishes never seem to dry and they always smudge! They recently bought out the Gelly range which seemed to be a lot better and they actually last more than a day without chipping!
Whilst I went through the whole not liking Barry M nail varnishes I desperately needed to find a replacement go to brand!
Sometime last year picked up a magazine (I think it was Style but I could be wrong) which had a free Nails Inc nail varnish as a free be! I have heard very good reviews so couldn't wait to give it a go, and yeah it was okay, but for something that should retail at £11 a bottle I really expected more.
I am following Nails Inc on Twitter and I saw one of the tweets they posted last week advertising the Lucky Dip, which incase some of you aren't aware it's where you pay £18 and you receive 7 full size nail varnishes which are usually £11 each, so with a bargain like that I couldn't resist! I think the postage to ship within the UK is about £4, which considering your saving £77 isn't much at all! Delivery was super quick my items came within 2 working days!
When I received the package I wasn't over impressed with the colours as you don't get a choice they are chosen at random, but now I have had a chance to use them I am quite liking them, I have a very hands on busy job and even after working they were still in the same condition as when I first painted them!
So after all my babbling on, I hope this helped you if you were thinking of ordering from them! Definitely recommend them!
